November 1, 2017 - A Data-Driven Safety Analysis (DDSA) webinar was held on "IHSDM 2017 and the New IHSDM Economic Analyses Tool" (IHSDM 2017 Web Conference). The webinar focused on the new IHSDM Economic Analyses Tool (EA Tool). With the addition of the EA Tool, users can now conduct economic analyses within IHSDM, using Crash Prediction Module evaluation results (crash frequencies and severities). A recording of the web conference can be accessed here. A PDF version of the PowerPoint presentation can be accessed here.

October 20, 2016 - A Web Conference was held on the new IHSDM 2016 Release (IHSDM 2016 Web Conference). The webinar showcased the newest IHSDM capabilities, focusing on how the tool’s Crash Prediction Module (CPM) can be used to apply HSM Part C predictive methods for:

  • Two-lane and multi-lane rural highways
  • Urban and suburban arterials
  • Freeway segments
  • Freeway ramps and interchanges

October 22, 2015 - A Web Conference was held on the new IHSDM 2015 Release (IHSDM 2015 Web Conference), focusing on major enhancements to the Policy Review Module (PRM), which was expanded to include policy checks for rural multilane highways.

October 2, 2014 - A Web Conference was held on the new IHSDM 2014 Release (IHSDM 2014 Web Conference), focusing on the major enhancements/additions, including: Extension of Crash Prediction Module (CPM) Site-Based Data Input and Analysis capabilities to freeway ramps, collector-distributor (C-D) roads and ramp terminals; and extension of the IHSDM Calibration Utility to freeway ramps, C-D roads, and ramp terminals.

October 24, 2013 - A Web Conference was held on the new IHSDM 2013 Release (IHSDM 2013 Web Conference), focusing on the major enhancements/additions, including: crash prediction capabilities for freeway ramps/interchanges (including ramp segments, collector-distributor (C-D) roads, and ramp terminals) based on draft HSM Chapter 19 materials developed under NCHRP Project 17-45.

October 16, 2012 - A Web Conference was held on the new IHSDM 2012 Release (IHSDM 2012 Release Web Conference), focusing on the major enhancements/additions, including: a Beta version of crash prediction capabilities for mainline freeway segments based on draft HSM materials developed under NCHRP Project 17-45; and a new site-based data input and analysis capability for crash prediction.

October 19, 2011 - A Web Conference was held on the new IHSDM 2011 Release (IHSDM 2011 Release Web Conference), focusing on the major enhancements/additions, including: a new Calibration Utility for the Crash Prediction Module and the redesigned Intersection Editor.

March 17, 2011 - A Web Conference was held for the New Hampshire DOT (IHSDM 2010 Web Conference for NHDOT).

July 20, 2010 - A Web Conference was held for FHWA Federal Lands Division (FLD) staff, to provide an overview of IHSDM with a focus on the Crash Prediction Module and the expanded Design Consistency Module (which now includes models for both lower-speed and higher-speed highways). (IHSDM 2010 Web Conference for FHWA FLD Staff).

June 2, 2010 - A Web Conference was held for FHWA Resource Center staff to provide an overview of IHSDM and the upcoming IHSDM 2010 Release (IHSDM 2010 Web Conference for Resource Center Staff).

May 19, 2010 - A Web Conference on the upcoming IHSDM 2010 Release was held (IHSDM 2010 Release Web Conference), focusing on the major enhancements/additions, including: the Crash Prediction Module -- intended to be a faithful software implementation of Part C (Predictive Methods) of AASHTO's Highway Safety Manual, which provides crash prediction methodologies for two-lane rural highways, multilane rural highways and urban/suburban arterials; an expanded Design Consistency Module, which now accommodates both low- and high-speed facilities; and enhanced reporting capabilities. An overview and status of the Highway Safety Manual (HSM) was also provided. The HSM is scheduled to be published by AASHTO in June 2010. The IHSDM 2010 Release will be made publicly available in conjunction with the publication of the HSM.

September 18, 2009 - A Web Conference was held for the New York State Department of Transportation (IHSDM Web Conference for NYSDOT)

July 14, 2009 - The fifth IHSDM Web Conference (Crash Prediction Module for Highway Safety Manual Part C - Web Conference 5) was held.
